West Brom 0, Liverpool 1

LONDON (SE) - Fernando Torres scored his first goal in ten matches to enable Liverpool to beat West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at Anfield.

Torres struck in the 65th minute with a left foot volley after Dirk Kuyt had created the opening.

Albion goalkeeper Scott Carson made a top-class save from Torres and with four minutes remaining, Albion had James Morrison sent off for a clumsy foul on Liverpool's goal-scorer.
